In theory, you should be able to go to a site, give your location, give a maximum value of how much you can stand to drive, a date range and a genre of music and be given everything you need to know about who's touring in your area in the near future. In practice, this doesn't work too well either because the systems don't understand geography very well, because genres are either too tedious to list or too hard to figure out, or because not every artist lists with every service.

- Not bad, but geographically challenged, i.e., the "find nearby cities" doesn't work. Also, you can't find out about venue locations.
- Dirty Linen
- Not a listing site per se, but they have a lot of listings if you're interested in Folk and World Music. The listings are organized by performer or location.
